The PTC Testing Center plays a vital role in this mission by providing certification, licenses, entry-level assessments, and skills and competency exams for students and clients. We are committed to delivering professional, high-quality testing services while upholding industry standards and best practices.

Our Testing Center offers a comprehensive range of assessments, including:

Testing Requirements & Procedures: 

• Identification Requirements: A valid photo ID is required for every exam. ID requirements vary by testing provider. In some cases, a second form of identification may be required. It is important to check your registration email for specific details.

• Electronic Devices: All electronic devices, including cell phones and smartwatches, must be turned off and stored in the provided locker.

• Clothing Restrictions: Hats, jackets, hoodies, and any shirts with hoods cannot be worn during testing.

• Personal Belongings: All personal items (hats, backpacks, purses, jackets, etc.) must fit inside the provided 12” x 12” locker.

Public Testing
All test scheduling is handled directly through the respective testing company. Please visit their website to register.

ACT WorkKeys - Career Readiness Certificate (CRC)
To be a full-time student at PTC, you must take our WorkKeys entrance assessment test, unless you have ACT scores that are not older than three years. Assessments provide potential students and the PTC counselor information to assist in making an informed enrollment decision.

WorkKeys FAQ’s
Workkeys is a job skills assessment system measuring “real-world” skills that employers believe are critical to job success. The purpose of this assessment is to provide potential students and the PTC counselor information to assist in making an informed decision. You will be tested in the areas of Applied Math, 33 questions; Graphic Literacy, 33 questions; and Workplace Documents, 38 questions.

Tips

1. Come well-rested.  Relax! These tests are designed to help you in school and work.

2. Remediation is available for anyone wanting assistance before or after testing.  Notify Student Services if interested; 580-718-4234.

3. Calculator, scrap paper, and pencil will be provided as allowed.

4. Be sure you understand the directions for each test before beginning.  The timer will start after directions are read.

5. It is important to complete all questions and there is no penalty for guessing.  You may flag a question and return to it provided you have time left.  (55 minutes for each test.)

6. A bathroom break is allowed upon completion of each test.  You must stay in the building.
