Pioneer Tech Wins Award for Tall Grass Tour

Pioneer Tech was recognized by the Tall Grass Tour for the 2018 Best Rest Stop Award.  They received a traveling plaque awarding them bragging rights for their rest stop, in addition they were given $200 in Chamber Bucks which were donated back to the Marland Children’s Home.

The Teacher Preparation and the Health Career Certification students participated in the water stop where they handed out energy snacks as well as water and Gatorade to the cyclist participants. The theme for their rest stop was “Bedlam Tailgating”. The Pioneer Tech crew had a toy hauler camper with a big screen TV playing live football games for riders to get updates on the scores. They also played flag football, volleyball, corn hole and other games with face painting included.  Riders could enjoy snacks and hot dogs while watching the games. Approximately fifteen PTC employees and ten students participated in the rest stop.
