Pioneer Technology Center (PTC) received the Gold Star School Award from the Oklahoma Association of Career & Technology Education (OKACTE). This designation, sponsored by OKACTE, provides recognition to technology center districts with outstanding programs designed to meet a broad spectrum of community needs.
This is the nineteenth year PTC has met and exceeded the rigorous standards required in student retention, placement, quality program instruction, recruitment and guidance, assessment capabilities, and diverse business and industry training programs.
"The Gold Star recognition is a challenge to attain and represents the excellence we strive for at Pioneer Tech. As we work towards our mission of ‘enhancing lives and securing futures,’ we are excited that Gold Star achievement is the outcome. This award is earned because we have an amazing team! None of us can accomplish great things alone…it takes a focused, collaborative effort from each of us,” commented Traci Thorpe, PTC Superintendent/CEO.
Gold Star School recognition is for 12 months and each tech center must go through the application process each year.
